Fill with compost and plant your seedlings planted in the usual way.

When it's time for planting-out the plant is not removed from the pot - pot and plant go into the ground together!

Slots at the base allow the roots to spread out.

By the end of the growing season the pot will have almost totally degraded and your plant will have had the benefit of the goodness from the pot.
