The National Vegetable Society NVS is a charity dedicated to advancing the culture, study and improvement of vegetables offering help and advice to novice and expert show grower alike.

National Championships

The NVS championships are being held this year at Harrogate in Yorkshire from Friday 12th September to Sunday 14th.

To give a flavour of the show and the awards ceremony and AGM a brief report and photo gallery is in the news section. NVS National Championships

We are broken into five regions with district associations covering more local areas - you can find out more in About the NVS.

We also provide training for and supply judges for horticultural shows as well as a panel of horticultural lecturers.

In the NVS Shop you can buy DVD's and leaflets made by the society's experts and through our affiliates a range of garden equipment suitable for all those who want to grow superb crops and garden well.

In the Grow & Show section, you can find a wealth of information, continually updated, of interest to gardeners and not just vegetable growers although we do concentrate on growing superb vegetables,
