Sad News – Ian Stocks
It is with great sadness to announce the death of Ian Stocks who passed away last night after a courageous battle with Cancer since February 2022.   Today the NVS has lost a true friend.

Ian joined the NVS in 1986 and from that day, his love for growing and exhibiting veg grew and grew,  but above all his love for friends with a common passion throughout the NVS and the wider community was second to none.  Ian was the Scottish Branch Chairman since 2013 and had also held many positions throughout the NVS including Branch Treasurer, Trustee Rep and National Vice Chair. Ian judged at all levels and gave numerous talks around the country for many years , sharing his knowledge of veg growing.

In September 2022 , Ian was very proud to win the Amour Potato Class at the National Championships in Malvern  and also be presented with his NVS Gold medal by our President  Medwyn Williams which was a deserving tribute to the many things Ian had done for the NVS.

We have lost another true great friend, and we send our love to Ian’s Wife Linda and all of Ian’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
