Scottish Branch Championships

UPDATE  17/07/2021

It was agreed at  the Scottish Branch Committee meeting, held 17th July  that due to the hall availability, the following timings will be in place;

*  Staging of exhibits will commence on Saturday morning at 0800 and finish at 1100.    

*  Judging will commence at 1100  with the aim of completing judging at 1300 ( but we will be flexible if it takes a little longer).  N.B.  we plan to add two  extra judges to judge the collections with an aim to assist in meeting the above timings whilst preventing any undue stress on the current judges.

The Branch recognise that this years Championships will be different but this is an opportunity to get what veg you have on to the bench. Even if you don't have anything please come along - lots of tea, sandwiches and cakes and the opportunity to meet up with friends again.

PREVIOUS UPDATE

Unfortunately the Scottish Branch Championships due to be held in conjunction with East Lothian Horticultural Society Haddington on the 4th September have had to be cancelled. East Lothian have decided against holding a show this year but hopefully we will be able to join them in 2022.

The Scottish Branch Committee were adamant that we need to try and return to our normal activities as soon as possible in order to give our members the full remit of the NVS. To that end they have been working on an alternative and have secured another venue for the same date. 

The new venue is Larbert Old Parish Church Halls, Denny Road, Larbert FK5 3AB and as stated the 4th September is the date.

Planning is just underway with regards to staging times etc, however an early heads up is that staging will only be on the Saturday morning - but for a longer period. 

The schedule of classes remains the same. We will strive to keep everyone updated via Facebook and the website as details are firmed up - so please bear with us. It will be a different show this year and we will tailor it to make sure that everyone can enjoy it and be safe and secure. However we hope you can understand this and can support us in our aim to give our members who exhibit something to aim for.
