Join us for what should be a fascinating evening talk on bees by Norman Dickinson. Norman is Chair of the Southern Branch of the NVS and a Trustee,but is also a renowned bee-keeper. He is currently Chairman of the Brighton and Lewes Beekeepers and also sits on the Executive Committee of the Sussex Beekeepers Association. Norman will talk about how to  identify different species of bee, the benefits that bees bring, declining bee numbers, and the most common bee hive used in the UK. He will also introduce you to the lifecycle of the bee and the yearly cycle, harvesting, selling and showing honey, and finally pests and diseases affecting the bee. This talk will be presented via Zoom.
