Our first speaker this year will be Niall Currie who will be sharing with us how he grows Pot leeks. Niall won the National Championships in 2024 with his Pot Leeks, variety JSN2 (John Soulsby strain) and was 1st in this year's Scottish branch Championships with the Cumberland Pot Leek.
Next up will be Fiona Shenfield who will provide her usual update on the Scottish Branch Championship results, National Championships results & the “Scots Abroad”.
Gavin Thomson of Premier Hydroponics will be sharing his knowledge with you, with some key pointers on the topics of LED lighting and the environment control.
After lunch we look forward to a talk by Ian Simpson on how he grows Peas for exhibition ( this is a change to the advertised stump carrots talk that was reported in the Autumn SV Magazine). Ian has won the National Championship's with Peas on 6 occasions and came 2nd this year and also came 1st in this year's Scottish branch Championships.
We will complete the main talks with our President, Jim Williams on growing veg for the kitchen garden – which will have lots of hints and tips.
If time permits, we will "ask the experts", by inviting our key speakers to the stage to take your questions.
