Masterclass Weekend 2026 – North Wales

For the past 27 years, the Masterclass Weekend has brought together gardening enthusiasts, expert growers, and many National Vegetable Society members each November. As well as offering a fantastic opportunity to deepen our knowledge and skills, the weekend is a much-loved occasion to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones who share a passion for growing.

This year’s event will take place from 30th of October to 1st of November 2026 at the Royal Victoria Hotel, Llanberis, nestled in the beautiful landscape of North Wales. Proceedings begin on Friday evening with dinner at 6:00pm, and the weekend concludes on Sunday with a traditional Welsh lunch.

The 2026 programme features a diverse and exciting line-up of expert speakers:

Keith Abel FNVS - Growing for Showing in a Small Garden

Joe Keeler - Pot Leeks - Tips from an Experienced Exhibitor and Judge

Jodie & Lorraine Bryan of Caley Brother - Hidden Kingdom - the Role of Fungi in Productive Gardens

Robin Probert - How to Collect, Process and Store Seeds

Neil Duncan - Growing & Showing Roses

Chris Spree FNVS - Growing Exhibition Tomatoes & Cucumbers

Nial Currie - Growing Vegetables for a Large Collection

The full weekend costs £305 per person, which includes all meals and accommodation.

The event will also see the return of the Growers’ Marketplace, a chance for speakers and attendees to formally sell seeds, plants and sundries or chat with fellow growers

We very much hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an informative, enjoyable, and memorable weekend.

Warm regards,
Raymond Higgins, Cath Holmes and Michele Thomas
