2025 is the turn of the Scottish Branch, hosting the National Championships at Ayr Racecourse and they have decided that the Chair's Challenge will be six pods of broad beans .
Jim believes that with a bit of hard work and dedication any grower is capable of growing Broad Beans to National Standards and unlike some other show vegetables, you don’t need grow lights, heated greenhouses or polytunnels to have a go. The most important aspect to growing top class beans is getting the garden prepared correctly
