The Midlands Branch covers the central counties of England, from the Welsh border to the North Sea, north of a line drawn between the Severn Estuary just north of Bristol, across to the East Coast just north of Clacton-on-Sea and from the Mersey estuary to the Wash forming the northern border of our area.
Our committee meets at least four times a year, in accordance with the National Constitution, either in person or via an online meeting. Our DAs (District Associations) actively promote the Society in their local areas and each organise visits to local gardens as well as talks being given by experts and specialist growers at the various DA meetings. Some DA’s host a mini show where the DA members can exhibit the produce of their labours, and hopefully may win a prize card.
We hold an Annual Show at Malvern each year, as well as supporting and attending Malvern Spring and Autumn Shows, Countrytastic, The Royal Three Counties Show, the Bucks County Show and as a main sponsor of the Allotment Collective at the Rutland Flower Show. Our stands are a great place to come and meet other vegetable growers, test our growers’ knowledge and if we don't know the answers there and then we will certainly know someone who does. These are really good days out and we look forward to seeing you there.
