Happy Easter

With the days getting longer, but I shall hold my breath for the time being at saying warmer, the mornings getting lighter and the birds singing dawn chorus now is the time to be in the garden and get sowing.
Hope you have all enjoyed the Zoom presentations every Tuesday for the past several weeks, they have been something for you to look forward to each week on the dark evenings in the warm and comfort of your armchair with either a cup of tea or pint of beer. We are now taking a break for a while to enable you to concentrate on the gardening and perhaps put what knowledge you have gained from the talks into fruition, but we will be planning a future program of zoom talks, perhaps videos and would like to hear from you, our members on the types/topics of talks you would like to see

My tunnel and greenhouse are both starting to fill up, the tunnel has several over wintering vegetables such as peas and broad beans the greenhouse has tomatoes, peppers, French beans already growing but now is the time to really get going
Unfortunately  a lot of large Shows are already making the decision to cancel their 2021 Shows
To finish on a positive note, I can inform you that Malvern Autumn Show will be going ahead, now over three days, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 24th – 26th September instead of just the two. This is all I know to date I will inform you of any details as soon as I know any.
As for the Midlands Branch Championships you will have to wait for news from them, when they know all the why’s and wherefores’ as to whether they can go ahead and what covid restrictions they will have to adhere to then I am sure they will let you know.

All the best

Sandra
